Witcher Bear Armor

“When you know about something, it stops being a nightmare. When you know how to fight something, it stops being so threatening.”
(Andrzej Sapkowski)

Directly inspired by an armor from the Witcher's games, this sturdy leather breastplate is accompanied by a pair of leather bracers reinforced by large brass plated steel rings. Made of thick vegetable leather dyed by hand, the armor is surrounded by a border of black supple leather, as well as decorated with a sewed vertical pattern that gives it its stripped appearance. The high collar provides style as well as extra protection from those nasty monster bites on the neck, making it a mandatory addition to any monster hunter gear. A sanded finish gives the finishing touch for this rugged, aged look that suits well the character's occupation.

This armor set was made for an original character played in LARP by our client, and wasn't intended as a cosplay project. Still, we found the Witcher's aesthetics to be very inspiring and loved to bring this awesome armor to reality.
