The Dwarven King's Armor

The Dwarven King's Armor
April 14, 2026

The discordant voices grew louder from behind the tent flaps. The camp was on edge; the battle was scheduled to begin in a few hours, and the allies of the Nain Génieurs were fumbling with their position. They might have had enough strength to defeat the enemy before them, but doubt had gripped the strategists, forcing them to argue rather than listen to their comrades.

Bock waited a few moments at the entrance to the tent, listening to the voices of his most loyal allies, tormented by the fear of losing this battle. Then he took a deep breath and stepped under the canopy of the command tent. The soldiers rose at his arrival, silencing their quarrels. The King’s gleaming armor filled their hearts with pride. Their loyalty to their leader united them despite their differences.

He placed his gloved hands on the map in the center of the table. He asked them all for their opinions, listened calmly, then decided on a strategy. Before becoming King, Bock Brisebouclier had been General of the Dwarven Armies, and his old habits were taking over. He managed to finalize the last details and made sure all his comrades fully understood the rules of engagement. Then, with a lighter heart, he seized his spear, ready to lead his people to victory.

After gracefully wearing the personalized coats, Jean-Philippe, our logistics coordinator, wanted to equip himself with armor worthy of his Bicolline character. It is inspired by our Lord's Amors and customized in the colors of his Nains-Génieurs Bicolline's guild, also drawing inspiration from the armor of his sister-in-arms.

Our artisans created the personalized armor by hand and used laser engraving techniques. They replicated the symbols on his custom cloaks to create a consistent aesthetic for the Dwarf King. The intertwined patterns, inspired by Dwarven motifs, evoke mountain ranges. The ornaments and conchos are inspired by the Dwarf armor from The Lord of the Rings cinematic universe. The beautiful hardware, unsurprisingly, comes from Copper Raven.

He is only carrying the essential items to aid him in battle, as this is necessary to maintain his mobility. A modified guild pouch hangs from his belt, along with a custom-made weapon and a leather canteen. He holds his ground in battle thanks to his guild-colored shield, in teal & gold, and a Kriegsmesser crafted by the Nemesis Workshops.

The armor is made of leather and aluminum to maximize comfort and lightness. The symbol of his Nains-Génieurs guild is hand-painted on the back so he can be easily recognized on the battlefield. His helmet originally came from Epic Armoury, but it was modified by Jean-Philippe himself and topped with a crown made by the Artisans d’Azure.
