Inspired by medieval German gugel style, the Fimbul Hood is made from herringbone wool, with a light and dark brown faux fur trim.  It can be worn over a garment, such as a shirt or tunic, for extra protection against the elements, especially in winter.

Legend

The icy wind whistled through the bare branches of the trees, while the snow fell relentlessly.  A lone man, wrapped in his Fimbul hood, trudged through the snowy forest.  His face was concealed by the hood and a thick false beard, revealing only one piercing eye.  He had once been a renowned archer, known throughout the kingdom for his precision and speed.  But a war wound had robbed him of an eye and his reputation.  Today, he lived in hiding, fleeing the authorities who were after him for a crime he had not committed.  Yet the flame of competition still burned within him.  When he heard about an archery tournament in a nearby village, he decided to brave the danger and take part, disguised under a new identity.  He knew the risks were great, but he was willing to do anything to prove that he was still the best archer in the kingdom.
