The Inspired Bard
The Character
Optimistic and adventurous, Guilhem has always had a passion for the art of signing and poetry. He is known not only as a singer but as a lover of life itself. His success took him to the courts of the various castles of the Kingdom of Adervel. He charmed the high people of the courts and wormed his way into political intrigues as inspiration for melodies.
This romantic bard is not only remembered for his proximity to ladies and knights, and for the right notes he used to tell stories. The little people recognized him for his catchy, poetic tunes. The adventures of small townsfolk heroes were always lauded in lively battles. Some people ask Guilhem how he manages to imagine such detailed songs depicting battles, when he himself has never experienced conflict. To this he replied, with a big smile, that his Muse inspired him.
What only legends would tell years after his retirement is that Guilhem was no stranger to battle, and his trusty sword, Muse, enabled him to tell stories with both pen and sword.
The Costume
Raymond, one of our talented leather craftsmen since 2019, has created a set that illustrates a versatile character, imagined by him. The color palette creates a beautiful mix of green and brown, and his equipment allows him to go on adventures all day long.
Our craftsman wears several garments by Leonardo Carbone and Burgschneider, including the green doublet, pirate shirt and a pair of hose. This medieval-inspired outfit adds dimension and depth to his costume. His Bertram headdress and brown felt beak hat underline the historical touch, while protecting Raymond from the sun during his LARP quests. He keeps a wool chaperon on his leather belt to slip on if the weather turns cold. His leather breeches and boots are his own creation.
To help him tell and fight in his adventures, Raymond uses a wide variety of accessories on his personalized leather nobleman's belt. His saddlebag, an invention of his own, carries an accessory holder, his canteen and his chaperone. The Guild Pouch and a small personalized pouch hold his belongings. Finally, he protects his Merlin, a 4-string musical instrument, with a true work of art: a unique case created with passion and care for this character, in his color palette, with hand-stitched seams and a personalized coat of arms. And of course, the magnificent new Bard's Saber, well protected with a durable fur scabbard.
