In front of Bourgsable's crenellated ramparts, chaotic hordes threatened to smash into the city's defences. Sire Éluard’s voice, commanding the defences, pierced through the pouring rain. His richly decorated armor made him a prime target for his many enemies, but the lord did nothing about it. There he stood - his heart noble, his gaze unwavering - straight before them, ready to protect his people at the risk of his own life. Nothing would pass his walls.
The siege of Bourgsable was recorded in songs of heroic deeds and illuminated manuscripts could never agree on the color of Sire Éluard's armor. What all the troubadours agreed on, however, was his bravery, generosity and virtue. Even when facing fierce battles and complex quests, he never wavered and always donned his armor, a faithful representation of all that made him noble and proud.
