Legend
The general was standing in front of his troops, glancing over the mismatched ranks of this army he was about to lead into the fields for the Great Battle, numerous guilds from across the duchy sending their best for him to command and guide toward victory. Over the years, this hardened veteran fought in dozens of military campaigns, watching allies switch camp over promises of land and prestige, and joining forces with former foes against common enemies. At first, he was a mere pikeman, conscripted to bring more boots on the battlefield. However, after decades spent walking the Duchy's roads, he gained the respect not only of his fellow guild folks, but also of his neighbours, accumulating allies and influence. Now, this old fox was waging war with diplomacy and intrigue as much as with might and sword. After 25 years of honing his craft, he was at the top of his game. This time, on the eve of the battle of a generation, it was a whole coalition he was bringing behind him.
Description
Created in collaboration with Le Duché de Bicolline, the Marqusie is the matching dagger to the Duchess, Bicolline’s official sword. Their designs and color schemes intertwine in every possible way, and yet, the dagger feels very unique, far from just a side weapon when carrying both.
The handle of the Marquise displays small, but very noticeable golden seahorses, the emblem of Bicolline, on its pommel and on each side of its hilt. The rest of the handle, more sober, gives it a striking realism. The suptile variations between silver and steel hues allow the details of the guard to be raised. The blade has all the characteristics of the latest innovations from Calimacil. It strikes the perfect balance between safety and a realistic look. The illusion of sharpness is accentuated by a silver edging on a steel base. As a final touch, the base of the blade features engravings whose detail is revealed by a gold color on a black background.
This foam dagger will be the best companion of paladins and knights, should they get separated from their sword in the heat of combat. Inspired by wide Venician daggers from the Late Middle Ages, this luxurious blade will also be a great addition to any noble, aristocrat, or wealthy merchant character, whether they are fighters or not. Finally, it’s uniqueness will make it a formidable accessory for various scenarios.
