The Star Witch
When travelling to Queen Yseut's court, one might encounter one of her ladies-in-waiting. Nothing seemed unfamiliar to her, and nothing seemed to surprise her. She remained calm and wore a gentle smile on her lips, no matter the situation. Little was known about Lady Lore, other than that she was Queen Yseut's most loyal advisor, but not many knew why.
The rumors of witchcraft surrounding Lady Lore were well-founded. She did not deny them when confronted by them. However, the true nature of her power remained a mystery to everyone except the queen. When the joys of the court were over, the witch's gaze turned to the stars shining above her. Alone facing this immensity, Lady Lore could channel their energy, ask them for advice, whisper her secrets and her purest dreams to them. In return, they gave her visions, powers, and trust.
Her fingers slid gently over the cards spread out before her. A pleasant warmth arose in the palm of her hand, and her movement stopped in front of one of the cards, which she turned over; the Star, her favorite, symbol of hope and renewal. Lady Lore closed her eyes and whispered her gratitude to the constellations, which once again had answered her questions. The kingdom's future was assured thanks to the stars and the Witch who knew how to read through their mysteries.

This sorceress character is an original creation by Renaude, who has been with us since 2024 and helps us with customer service and in-store sales in Montreal. This costume combines leather products, original creations, and several accessories to preserve the traditional style of witches while incorporating a color palette and symbols associated with astral divination.
Renaude wears a blue blouse and an original creation, a skirt made from manuscript pages. A short corset belt, personalized for this costume, hand-dyed in shades of blue and mauve and topped with stars, ties the ensemble together. Two belts, including a customized noble's leather belt, allow her to carry several accessories like a scroll holder and her personal book. At her waist is a personalized Guild pouch in the same hues.
Several other pieces of jewelry and moon symbols, including her Copper Raven Lunula necklace, add a delicate finishing touch to the ensemble. The costume also features bracers made of vegetable-tanned leather and hand-dyed. She uses a Calimacil mystic staff, perfect to defend herself when busy casting a spell!
A magician's aesthetic would not be complete without McCormick's unique magic wand, protected by a blue wand holder, and a black witch's hat. It is the subtle details that highlight the character's history and function, giving Renaude's costume a delicate harmony between symbolism and aesthetics while being durable and lightweight for his next medieval LARP.
