The long sword is the start of any fighting character. It is the most versatile LARP weapon of all: it is long enough to be able to hold off an enemy while being short enough to be manageable in any narrow path. Long swords fit easily in any belt scabbard without dragging on the ground. With the ideal length for one hand fighting, long swords, foam or latex, can easily be combined with a shield or a second weapon.
