The arming sword is the start of any fighting character. It is the most versatile LARP weapon of all: it is long enough to be able to hold off an enemy while being short enough to be manageable in any narrow path. They can also make great primary weapon for rogues and similar types of character. With the ideal length to be used one handed, medium swords, foam or latex, are best used when combined with a shield or a second weapon.
