London Pocket Pistol Pistols Denix

Renaissance

By many accounts, the Renaissance can be seen as the natural extension of the medieval era, but it also saw a resurgence of thoughts, texts and influences from Antiquity, with sweeping changes in art, philosophy and science inspired by humanism, recent innovations and a rediscovery of ancient ideas.

Nobles & Merchants

In LARP, nobles and merchants characters are sharing some similarities, often conflated together by stereotypes and caricatural cliches. We all saw those pompous, hedonistic, prideful and self-important characters despising everything that is common or bellow them, shunning physical work and boasting with an almost cartoonish sense of entitlement.

Description

This highly decorated pocket pistol was a flintlock black powder weapon created for civilian self-defence, with a very short effective range, but easily concealable during day-to-day activities. This particular model was made of ivory and heavily decorated, making it a pistol likely made for nobles, prosperous entrepreneurs, and the members of the Londonian gentry. In LARP, this small pistol is a great choice for sneaky characters, such as a rogue, spy, or courtier.

Characteristic

  • Made of imitation ivory (plastic) and metal
  • The barrel is full and not functional for shooting
  • Historical 1795 design
  • 19.5 cm long

Made in Spain by Denix
