Legend
Coming from the heart of the Holy Roman Empire, Jean Beaudoin (962-1012) illustrious benefactor in his church, is known to have negotiated with the Saracens a free passage for Christian pilgrims to Jerusalem, even before the first crusades. Despite his monumental failure that triggered the first crusades and the capture of Jerusalem in 1099, Jean Beaudoin leaves behind him many descendants as a result of his many pilgrimages.
