Renaissance

By many accounts, the Renaissance can be seen as the natural extension of the medieval era, but it also saw a resurgence of thoughts, texts and influences from Antiquity, with sweeping changes in art, philosophy and science inspired by humanism, recent innovations and a rediscovery of ancient ideas.

BARBARIAN

The concept of the barbarian is as old as civilization itself, finding its origins as far away in history as the founding myths of the great city of Uruk, thousands of years before any Roman or even ancient Chinese used the epithet to mock the people of their periphery.

Legend

Historical sword of the Landsknechts, this greatsword will please ruthless mercenaries and pragmatic fighters who wish to keep their adversaries at bay. Meaning ''double pay'', the name of this sword comes from the elite soldiers who wielded it into battle, which received twice the salary of the average fighter in their army. This reward was well deserved considering the devastating effect a swipe of these swords could have on a pike formation, or how effective these huge blades could be at holding a choke point on the battlefield. Of course, carrying a Doppelsoldner into battle also meant turning yourself into a prime target for arquebus' fire, making this pay reward even more important.

Description

This two-handed LARP sword features a unique S shaped blade that gives it a menacing look while remaining perfectly safe thanks to Calimacil's exclusive foam. The steel-colored handle is wrapped with leather-like brown foam and gives the sword a firm grip for a deadly reach. The included ''8'' shaped guard can be removed for transport or to customise even more the weapon. It is also stiff enough to deflect blows, but will bend enough to remain safe. Even though the sword has a deadly reach, it remains as safe as our other weapons, and will withstand years of harsh combat situations. This massive historical sword from Germany is a greatsword for great warriors. It is the perfect weapon of landsknechts, mercenaries, rugged combat brutes, and intimidating warlords.
