Description

This large oval latex shield is a reproduction of the shields used by the auxiliary troops of the Roman Empire. An important piece of equipment for those light infantry soldiers and cavalry cohorts that were recruited from allied tribes across the Empire, this oval scutum was designed to be more mobile than the classic rectangular shield used by the standard legionary. This large shield also resembles closely the ones used by the Gauls and other Celtic people during the Antiquity, making it a perfect choice to play a Celt inspired character in LARP.
