Description
This large leaf shaped shield is a foam reproduction inspired by the famous kite shields used by the Norman soldiers of the early 11th century during the Norman conquest of England or by the time of the First Crusade. Often called Norman shields, as they were the first to widely use these shields on the battlefield, this shape was intended to be used by both mounted knights and footmen. This LARP shield is carved from EVA foam and coated in a layer of durable latex. It is designed to look like slats of true wood trimmed with a strip of leather for additional protection against damages and abrasion. This shield presents a damaged white and blue tribal paint, as worn off my years of battle. It can be carried in various ways thanks to the six adjustable leather straps on the back.
