Raised in the heart of Saint-Roman Empire, Jean Beaudoin (962-1012), illustrious benefactor in his church, is known to have negotiated with the Saracens a free passage for Christian pilgrims to Jerusalem, even before the first crusades. Despite its monumental failure that will trigger the first crusades and the capture of Jerusalem in 1099, Jean Beaudoin leaves behind him the blood of Saracens cudgelled and many descendants as a result of its many preachings.
